The Mississippi Museum of Art, the Museum of Natural Science , and the Mississippi Children's Museum are perennial area favorites. Children always seem to enjoy the Russell C. Davis Planetarium or the Jackson Zoo. For a real fun outing, you may want to take a trip to the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame that has interactive displays and lots of Mississippi sports history.
Downtown Jackson offers visitors a tour of the Governor's Mansion, the Old Capital Museum, the Manship House Museum, the Eudora Welty Museum, the Smith Robertson Museum and Cultural Center and the Oaks House Museum. With agriculture and forestry such a huge industry in our state, a visit to the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum is definitely a must go see.
